                              1. Basic Dress Rental Rules

                                • General - Rental Agreement: Users implicitly accept and adhere to the rental agreement terms. Termination of membership for contractual breaches.
                                • At Runway Rentals, when you rent a garment, you are acquiring the privilege to wear it during the agreed-upon rental period, as outlined in your confirmation. Only the individual listed in our system, or a parent/guardian when booked on behalf, is authorized to wear the garment. To make a booking, we require a valid NZ phone number, home address, and email. Overseas information is not accepted. Additional identification may be requested for larger orders. While you have the right to the garment within the chosen timeframe, it must be shipped back the first working day after your event. Failure to do so may result in late and/or or loss of income fees. Runway Rentals retains legal ownership of all rental items, and you are essentially 'borrowing/renting' the garment. We anticipate its return on the following working day after your event. As a renter, you acknowledge that any breach of the terms in the T&C allows Runway Rentals to pursue compensation.
                                • Note. All refunds deemed applicable for a refund by Runway Rentals will have a $5 Admin fee deducted due to Shopify website processing fees and administration.

                                 

                                • If a dress is damaged by you including 'serve stains, holes or rips' you will be liable to cover the cost, set by Runway Rentals. 
                                • Dresses damaged to an unwearable state will result in a charge of 110% of the retail value, stated on the product description.
                                2. Rental Fees
                                • The rental fee in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) is clearly specified in each product description, accounting for both the recommended retail price (RRP) value and the current condition of the garment. Shipping fees are computed during the checkout process and will be presented before finalizing the payment. Please note that rentals cannot be reserved for you before purchase.
                                3. Garment Arrival Time/Rental Date/Pick-ups
                                • We exclusively dispatch orders on working days, aligned with NZ Post's network, unless Saturday shipping is specifically selected during booking. Garments are typically dispatched 2-3 days before your event (one of these days inclusive of the start date) on overnight courier. Late bookings are made at your own risk.
                                • For weekend orders, shipment occurs on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Any delays on our end will prompt communication, with a Thursday shipment as an alternative. If you require the garment early or are traveling for your event, please set the start date as one day prior.
                                • Booking for the day of your event without prior notification for early delivery will render you ineligible for a refund if it does not arrive on time. Extended rentals for early arrival can be arranged via email for added assurance.
                                • All Friday-Sunday bookings must be placed by 2 pm on Wednesday (unless selecting Saturday delivery). Orders after this time will be shipped the next working day but at the renter's risk. Saturday delivery orders must be communicated when placing the order, adhering to the usual cut-off.
                                • Pick-ups are organized the week of your event, and you will receive the details accordingly. 
                                4. Christmas/New Years order deadlines
                                • To ensure timely delivery over the holiday period, we recommend placing your orders by our specified dates. Orders should be placed by December 18th. You will be responsible for the garment until January 6th. All rentals within this timeframe will be automatically extended from December 18th to January 6th once you have made the booking (while still selecting your event date).
                                • Orders placed after this 18th/12  deadline will be eligible for a credit note only if they are not delivered on time.
                                • Please note that orders placed after 2pm NZST on the 18th will be shipped the following business day. Refunds will not be issued for orders placed after the 18th of December for garments that have not arrived. 
                                  5. Item Descriptions  
                                    • At Runway Rentals, we value transparency, empowering you to make well-informed decisions. We openly communicate any known flaws or imperfections in our items under the 'condition' section on the product page. Please note that we do not offer refunds for items where these imperfections have been clearly communicated. We strongly encourage you to review this information before finalising your rental choice.
                                    • As a garment rental company, we acknowledge that our items may exhibit general wear, and rental dresses are not expected to be in brand-new condition. Anticipated wear and tear include minor imperfections like micro pulls, small loose threads, knicks to fabric or stitching, inconspicuous markings or fake tan staining to the inside of garment linings (from continual exposure). We make an effort to highlight any significant wear and tear in our garment condition descriptions. Our ultimate goal is to provide rental dresses in wearable condition with minimal flaws or markings. While some wear is inherent, our team diligently performs cleaning and repairs to maintain the quality of our these garments.
                                      6. Issues Upon Receiving a Faulty Items
                                      • In the event that you encounter a faulty item, we are committed to promptly addressing the issue to ensure your satisfaction. The determination of whether an item is "faulty & unworn by the current client" rests solely at the discretion of Runway Rentals and is a prerequisite for any refund issuance.
                                      • To qualify for a refund due to a faulty item, please notify us of the fault within 12 hours of the package's arrival at your address. Additionally, return the item within 24 hours of reporting the fault. This policy ensures that the fault was not caused by you and was overlooked during the packing process. Once the item is verified as 'unworn' and 'faulty,' we will process a full refund, covering shipping costs.
                                      • Failure to inform us within this timeframe or provide photo evidence will render you ineligible for a refund and may result in you being held responsible for damages. For shipping, we recommend using a post office and ensuring the parcel is scanned. If the dress arrives late without proof of posting within 24 hours of delivery, you will not be eligible for a refund or credit note.
                                      • Please inspect your dress upon delivery, notify us, and provide photos of any damage within 12 hours. You may be held responsible for damages and ineligible for any refund if we are not informed within this timeframe or provided photo evidence. Ship the garment back within 24 hours of delivery and flag this to Sales@runwayrentals.co.nz for inspection.  
                                      • Please note, if you wear the dress this means you accept the condition it was received in.
                                      7. Cleaning Procedures
                                        • At Runway Rentals, we adhere to rigorous cleaning standards to ensure the utmost hygiene of our items between each rental. Dry cleaning is reserved for exceptional cases where a swift turnaround is necessary due to consecutive weekly bookings.
                                        • Our cleaning methods are tailored to the fabric:
                                          • Delicate Hand Washing: Fabrics requiring special care undergo a meticulous hand-washing process with cold water to preserve their integrity.
                                          • Machine Washing in Wash Bags: For certain fabrics, we use machine washing within designated wash bags, employing delicate and cold settings for gentle yet effective cleaning.
                                        • Following cleaning, every dress undergoes thorough steaming for disinfection and to eliminate creases.
                                        • While our aim is to provide garments with minimal markings, any permanent marks are transparently disclosed in the product descriptions. We are dedicated to delivering garments that embody cleanliness and meticulous upkeep, ensuring a flawless rental experience.
                                        8. Sizing Issues
                                          • Sizing issues are non-refundable. It's recommended to consult our size guides before booking the garment to ensure an accurate fit.
                                          • At Runway Rentals, we offer try-ons and have backup dress options available to prevent sizing issues from occurring. 
                                          • Label sizes and recommended sizes are different. Label sizes are what is on the tag and recommended sizes are what we at times add depending on the dresses stretch factor, shape and general fit. The recommended size is only a guideline and we are not liable if this is not accurate to your individual body shape. We highly recommend measuring yourself against the official brands sizing guides, provided on each product page.
                                          9. Sale Items
                                            • All accessories including Booby Tape, Nipple covers & Clothing tape cannot be returned for a credit note and/or refund.
                                            • Items that are purchased to keep (i.e. not hired) are final and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange. 
                                              • Second hand dress sales: Please note many of our dresses are second hand, please email Sales@runwayrentals.co.nz if you have any questions regarding the condition of a particular dress.
                                            10. Cancellation/Refund Policy
                                              • Within 24 Hours of Booking: 
                                                • If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you are entitled to a full refund or store credit, according to your preference.
                                              • 24 hours after booking
                                                • Cancellations initiated more than 24 hours after placing your order and extending beyond 2 weeks from your scheduled start date will qualify for a credit voucher equivalent to the initial booking value.
                                              • Late Cancellations (Within Two Weeks of Start Date):
                                                • Cancellations occurring within two weeks of your booking start date are considered non-refundable. This policy is in place because the reserved space becomes unavailable to other clients, and refunds in such cases result in a loss of income for our small business.
                                              • Refunds are not offered for the following circumstances:
                                              1. Change of mind or personal dissatisfaction with the garment, fit, and sizing.
                                              2. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks in advance of the event date.
                                              3. Flaws described or within the 'expected' rental garment condition deemed by the Runway Rentals team.
                                              4. Rentals that arrive late from orders placed less than 3 FULL working days in advance of the rental start date.
                                              5. Faults/Flaws not being disclosed by the current renter within the 24 hour period of the garment arriving OR not shipped back to us within 24 hours of the garment arriving.
                                              • Refunds in any other situation will be provided at our discretion, typically when we believe we have been at fault. We are committed to providing beautiful rentals to our customers and value our integrity.
                                              • Note. All refunds deemed applicable for a refund will have a $5 Admin fee deducted due to Shopify website processing fees and administration.
                                              11. NZ Post Delay affecting arrival
                                                • In the event that a dress does not arrive due to an NZ Post delay, which is beyond Runway Rentals' control, you will be issued a full store credit voucher equivalent to the paid booking amount. Refunds are not available when Runway Rentals has dispatched the garment using an 'overnight' shipment. Our standard practice is to ship all dresses 2-3 days prior, including the selected start date as one of these days.
                                                12. Late Fees
                                                • If the rental duration concludes and you still have the garment in your possession, a daily charge of $20 will be incurred until it is officially scanned in by a representative at an NZ Post counter. Adherence to this policy is rigorously maintained. The individual listed on the booking is accountable for personally delivering the dress to NZ Post by the specified end date, and it should not be entrusted to another person for return or left in a post box.
